We're proud of our families'
involvement in the cattle operation and the beef industry. All
four children, Jilinda White, Shawna Gilmore, Damon and Brandon
actively participated in the Kansas and National Junior Angus
Associations. Damon is actively involved on the farm and served
as District Director for the Kansas Angus Assn. and was
elected President in 2001. |

Brandon has always wanted to breed
cattle and worked toward that goal
through high school and college.
He
received the National FFA Beef
Proficiency - Entrepreneurship Award
in
1999 and his graduation from KSU
has allowed us to have a full time
Co-Owner and Farm Manager. |

Bill was raised on a farm
where the dairy herd was the main source of income. His father,
Richard, purchased an Angus bull to breed their Holstein heifers in the
early 50's. In 1954 Bill purchased a yearling Angus heifer, Pride of
Meadoway S 4, from a neighbor for his 4-H project. That was the
beginning of NEW HAVEN ANGUS and the desire to
"breed in more than
the
eye can see"! |

We began weighing our cattle in the
early 60's and have been enrolled in AHIR for over 40 years. In 1965 we
purchased one-third interest in Homeplace Eileenmere 1026 and received
our special "Artificial Breeding Permit" to further the quality of our
herd through artificial insemination. We currently have an embryo
transfer program and ultrasound all of our calves. We have been sending
steers to a feedlot to gain more information on carcass quality.
